Infrared Astronomy Satellite

Between 1987 and 1994, the group operated the University of Calgary IRAS Data Analysis Facility, and has processed over 11,000 spectra from data obtained by the Low Resolution Spectrometer.

The LRS spectra are now available via the WWW through this query page link. The spectra can be returned as an ascii file or as a plot in one of three formats. The data returned is the same as that which one can obtain through the visitor account. The visitor account allows you to extract large groups of LRS spectra, whereas the query form deals with one source at a time.

NASA maintains a public data archive for IRAS data products which is now accessable via the WWW. The following link goes to this IRAS data archive page. This page gives links to where one can get the smaller IRAS catalogues in their entirety, to sources for getting other data from the larger data products (i.e. the sky maps), and to a variety of related data products.
