Since the ODIN orbit cannot be predicted accurately before launch, the orbit manipulation tool allows the user to see how the ODIN satellite needs to divide its time between astronomy and aeronomy for different orbital decay scenarios. The results of this are needed for the scheduling, since it determines exactly when astronomy periods occur during the mission.
