

Please enter the number of the ISO SWS spectrum that you want a plot for (see list below) and select the format in which you wish to receive the data: either the values as raw text, a postscript plot, a gif plot, or a jpeg plot. The gif file is displayed, the other plots will likely be sent in file form. Also select whether you want the spectrum in wavelength flux density unit (Watts/meter-square/micron) or in frequency flux density units (Jansky).

This page is an interface to a program for the extraction of spectra from the paper:
Sloan, G. C., Kraemer, Kathleen E., Price, Stephan D., and Shipman, Russell F. 2003 A Uniform Database of 2.4-45.4 Micron Spectra from the Infrared Space Observatory Short Wavelength Spectrometer, ApJS, vol. 147, pages 379-401.
I have obtained the spectra from Greg Sloan (they can be accessed at his WWW page. Here I only use his "sws" product. Of the 1262 spectra that are in the original set, 12 are not in the sws set--although I have not found exactly why this is--so I have 1250 spectra accessable here.
There are various caveats about these spectra. See the original paper for a discussion of these. The absolute calibration in level, as opposed to shape, is not that accurate so one should not trust the absolute flux density values. One needs to scale to some trustworthy photmetric data to get the absolute flux density values correct.
Spectra are selected by TDT number, since the names of the targets have a wide variety of forms. See the list below. For explanation of the classifications, see the Sloan et al. (2003) paper.
First the 1238 SWS01 spectra are listed, followed by the 23 SWS06 spectra. The total number of files available is 1261. This varies slightly from what was published.
